With a jar of baby food to show scale. Couldn't think of anything else at the time :)

Sam's Feet
We are doing a "no-mercy" clear-out of out flat ready for viewings and one of the things I packed away last night was Joni's 3D pin gadget. I had left it for ages because the last thing on it was Sam's little feet. This imprint of his little feet was done during Josh's baptism weekend in May.

No bananas for Josh?
Yesterday morning I mashed up a large banana with baby rice and gave it to Josh for breakfast. He liked it and nearly finished the whole banana; actually he would have kept eating but I was worried that it was a bit much for him.
As it turns out, I was right because he didn't nap well (too full!) and I think he had a bit of indigestion.
The worst thing was that he seemed to have a reaction to the banana. Joni noticed that his skin was getting bad in the afternoon and by 10pm, he had an angry rash all over his face and body. Poor boy! His skin has been so much better lately and I had become a bit more relaxed about weaning, now it looks like I will need to be quite careful with his food.
I took some photos to show the dermatology nurse at our follow-up appointment. This morning his face was a bit better, but you can still see the rash.
The rash was still all over his body this afternoon. It's not like his "normal" eczema because it is all over his nappy area and that area has never been affected by dry skin. It also doesn't seem to be itchy because he is not trying to scratch it, like he does his "dry patches".

(His back)
Maybe it was because the banana was raw and he can't handle raw food yet? So no more new foods for Josh until his rash is better. So far his menu consists of baby rice, carrots, parsnips, sweet potato, peas and pear. He seems to be his normal happy self though, my poor boy :(Cooking and Freezing
The Beaba Babycook is brilliant! Thanks Priscilla! I normally do a whole batch of one thing eg carrots, then freeze into ice-cube trays for later and combine 6-8 cubes into one meal.
Josh is still a vegetarian at the moment and his favourite food is sweet potato.
The photo shows pear puree, which he likes for breakfast.

Josh eats Food Part 2
Josh obviously loves his food, just like his Mummy! Maybe I should have weaned him earlier? After a week, he is already eating like a pro. He prefers home-made food to the jars, what a good boy : likes his Mummy's cooking.
And he's getting the hang of drinking too.
